Attack on Titan
A 94-metre dam wall standing in for Wall Maria, with the three children below it.
Hajime Isayama grew up in Oyama, in the city of Hita in Oita Prefecture, and the town has turned that connection into something worth travelling for. Below the Oyama Dam — a concrete wall 94 metres high that reads unmistakably as Wall Maria — stand life-size statues of Eren, Mikasa and Armin as children, positioned as they were when they first saw a Titan over the wall. Nearby, the Attack on Titan in HITA museum holds original signed art, rejected designs for the statues, and objects made only for this site.
