Ghibli Park is built into an existing park rather than fenced off as a resort, and is divided into separate areas each tied to different films. Tickets are date and time specific, sold in advance only, and different areas require different tickets — read the ticket page carefully before buying, because the combinations are the part visitors most often get wrong.
Why it is worth it
The only place in the world where Ghibli built a park. Not reachable from Tokyo as a day trip without planning.
