Museum
Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory
The author's museum, at the end of Conan Street in his hometown.
The museum holds original artwork, a recreation of Gosho Aoyama's workspace, and interactive exhibits built around the gadgets from the series. It stands at the end of Conan Street, which runs from the local station and is lined with bronze statues of the characters.
Why it is worth it
No other Japanese town has committed to a single series this completely — the station, the street and the bridges all carry it.
When to go
Quiet. Tottori is not on the main tourist routes.
Good to know
Tottori is remote — this is not a side trip from Tokyo. It fits a San-in coast itinerary. The walk from the station along Conan Street is part of the experience.
