Crayon Shin-chan

Kasukabe is the actual town, and the city hall has the statues.

Shin-chan lives in **Kasukabe**, a real commuter town in Saitama, and unlike most series set in a real place, the town is named outright and treated as itself. Kasukabe Station uses a Shin-chan departure melody and carries the family on its signage, **Kasukabe City Hall** has bronze statues of Shin-chan and Himawari in manga-accurate clothing, and the tourist information centre has a permanent corner. The series is enormous across Asia, Europe and Latin America and comparatively little-known to English-speaking fans, which means this is one of the quieter pilgrimages despite the scale of the franchise.
