Higata Yoka Park (the Kingdom seawall)
A 340-metre seawall on the Ariake Sea with every page of all 77 volumes of Kingdom printed along it. Free, outdoors, and a Guinness World Record — until 30 September 2026.
Higata Yoka Park sits on the tidal flats of the Ariake Sea, which has the largest tidal range in Japan. The park is a normal local park with a playground and a view over the mudflats, and in autumn the shichimenso plants along the shore turn red. Since January 2026 its seawall has carried the Kingdom exhibition: over 340 metres of printed pages covering the complete series, free to walk and read.
Why it is worth it
There is nothing else like it anywhere. An entire long-running manga, printed at full size along a sea wall, outdoors, free, with the Ariake mudflats on one side. It drew 160,000 visitors in its first two months and holds a Guinness World Record.
When to go
Weekends are busy. The seawall is long enough that crowding is rarely a problem, but the car park fills up.
Good to know
Reading all 77 volumes is not realistic in one visit — most people walk the length and stop at scenes they know. There is no shade and no lighting: go in the morning, bring water, and leave before dusk. Public transport is thin, so a car or taxi from Saga Station is the practical option.
Kingdom
All 77 volumes printed along 340 metres of seawall. A Guinness World Record, and free to read.
