Theme park
NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobi-Zato (Nijigen no Mori)
A permanent NARUTO attraction — a three-storey maze behind a full-size Hokage Rock.
Shinobi-Zato is a permanent area inside Nijigen no Mori, an anime park built into a prefectural forest park on Awaji Island. It recreates the Hidden Leaf Village and includes a three-storey maze attraction behind the Hokage Rock, ninja training sequences, themed food and a shop selling goods available nowhere else.
Why it is worth it
Almost every anime attraction in Japan is temporary. This one is permanent, and there is nothing comparable for NARUTO anywhere else.
When to go
Weekends and Japanese school holidays are busiest. The park stays open into the evening.
Good to know
Reachable by highway bus from Kobe or Osaka, so it works as a day trip from Kansai. Check ticket types before you go — several attractions are priced separately.
