Tsutsujigaoka Park

A large park in Tatebayashi famous for its azaleas, some of the bushes centuries old. It appears in the series, and the Tsutsujigaoka Fureai Centre inside the park keeps official Tatebayashi merchandise for the show, life-size character panels and a display corner for fan work.
Why it is worth it
It is free outside the azalea season, and the town has maintained the display for years without turning it into a shop.
When to go
Very busy during the azalea festival in spring.
Good to know
The printed pilgrimage map is no longer handed out, but a local site publishes a downloadable version — get it before you go. The park is 30 minutes on foot from the station.
