Yokohama Anpanman Children's Museum

The city option for Anpanman, three minutes from a station and far easier than the Kochi original.

One of five Anpanman Children's Museums in Japan, in the Minato Mirai district of Yokohama. The upper floors are the paid museum and play area; the ground floor holds shops, a bakery and restaurants and is free to walk into.

Why it is worth it

If you are travelling with small children this solves an afternoon, and the free ground floor means you can go in without committing to the ticket.

When to go

Busy at weekends and in school holidays.

Good to know

The museum floors require a dated web ticket bought in advance — you cannot simply turn up. The ground floor does not. It is a ten-minute walk from the Red Brick Warehouses, so it combines with the Bungo Stray Dogs walk.
