Nipponbashi Den Den Town
Osaka's equivalent of Akihabara — second-hand figures, retro games, cards and doujinshi along one street.
Den Den Town runs south from Nipponbashi and concentrates Osaka's hobby retail into a walkable strip: Mandarake, Super Potato, Animate, card shops and a dense cluster of second-hand figure stores. It is smaller and calmer than Akihabara, and prices are often slightly lower.
Why it is worth it
If you are not going to Tokyo, this is the closest thing to Akihabara in Japan.
