The waterfront the series is set in: Odaiba Marine Park, the pier looking across to Rainbow Bridge with Tokyo Tower behind it, and the Fuji TV building with its suspended sphere, which is where one of the best-remembered fights takes place.
Why it is worth it
It is free, open at any hour, and it is the same walk as the Unicorn Gundam statue, so two franchises share one afternoon.
When to go
Busy at weekends and in the evening.
Good to know
The Palette Town Ferris wheel that appears in the series was dismantled in 2022 and is gone — do not look for it. Evening, with the bridge lit, is closest to the series.
